In keeping with its commitment to environmentally responsible development, True North Golf Club has applied for and been accepted into Audubon International's prestigious Silver Signature Program. To receive certification for this rigorous program, environmental planning experts at the Audubon International Institute (A.I.I.) will prepare the Natural Resource Management Plan that includes the following key components:
    *  Site Assessment
    * Wildlife Habitat Enhancement & Management
    * Waste Management
    * Energy Efficiency
    * Water Quality & Conservation
    * Integrated Pest Management
This Plan ensures full compliance with the requirements and spirit of the Signature program. Moreover, the A.I.I. provides consultation, training and education to enhance successful implementation of and long-term commitment to the Natural Resource Management Plan.

"Audubon International is happy to work with True North Golf Club as a newly registered member of its Silver Signature Program," said Nancy Richardson, director of the nationally recognized program. "The Signature Program was created to recognize developments which choose to integrate sustainable design and management of their property and, in doing so, balance the needs of people with the protection of the environment." Richardson added: "I look forward to working with the True North project team toward that end while applauding it for being the first Silver Signature Program member in Michigan."
