What is True North Golf Club?
True North Golf Club, L.L.C. (the Club), is a private gated golf course and residential community located five miles north of Harbor Springs, Michigan. True North was designed by award winning architect Jim Engh and features an exclusive 72 home site development.

What are the facilities at True North?
True North has been envisioned to be a true golfers club, featuring a spectacular eighteen-hole championship golf course routed through the three hundred and twenty acre property. A complete practice facility is located near the center of the development allowing easy access for members practice and private lessons. The six thousand square foot clubhouse is available for casual dining and socializing and includes men and women's locker rooms and a fully stocked pro shop with the latest in equipment and clothing.

What types of Club Memberships are available?
True North offers property owners a Resident Club Membership included in their lot purchase along with Club Memberships and Corporate Memberships. The Club reserves the right to determine and offer additional membership classifications.

Non resident memberships are available as Club Memberships and Corporate Memberships. Corporate Memberships are available to approved business entities only.

Any memberships offered at True North will be non-equity memberships permitting the member to use the Club Facilities and will not be an investment in the Club nor does it provide an equity or ownership interest in the Club or the Club Facilities. The Club Facilities are owned and operated by the Club.

How many Club Memberships will be available?
True North will reach its full operating membership at three hundred and twenty five (325).

Who is eligible to obtain Club Membership privileges?
Membership in the Club is by application and acceptance only. True North Golf Club does not discriminate based on race, religion, age, or sex.

Will property owners in True North have an opportunity to obtain Club Membership privileges?
The Club will include a Resident Club Membership to purchasers of previously unsold homesites or homes in the True North residential community. Purchasers of resale properties in True North residential community may obtain a Resident Club Membership at the current club membership fee.

Will members of my family be entitled to use my membership privileges?
Yes, all memberships allow your spouse and any children aged 18 and under to full use of the Club. Children of Club Members aged 19 and up and still in college will be charged a $50.00 green fee per round played as a family rate.

Will my spouse be entitled to my membership upon my death?
Yes, Resident and Club Memberships transfer to the surviving spouse.

What are the privileges of a Corporate Membership?
True North will offer a limited number of Corporate Memberships. A Corporate Member must be a corporation, partnership or other supportable business entity. A Corporate Member may designate two (2) individuals who shall have privileges to use the Club Facilities. Each designated member shall pay the applicable dues and fees associated with membership in the Club. A Corporate Member will have the ability to add additional individuals to their memberships for an additional membership fee. Corporate Memberships allow for the designated member, their spouse, and any children aged 21 and under, full use of the Club.

Will there be outside play at the golf club?
During membership build up limited outside resort play will be allowed at the discretion of the Club. However, the Club will reserve two foursome tee times per hour for members use only.

Will True North ever be fully private?
Yes, when the Club reaches 250 total memberships outside play will be limited to the months of May, September and October leaving June, July and August exclusively for member only play. The Club reserves the right to allow non-members play for the promotion of membership sales. At such time membership reaches 325 members the club will offer to the membership the opportunity to eliminate outside play in May, September and October based on the Clubs operating requirements.

Who is responsible for the operation of the Club?
True North Golf Club L.L.C. The Club is fully responsible for the government and administration of the Club Facilities and will maintain exclusive authority to accept members, set membership initiation and dues levels, establish rules and regulations and control the management and affairs of the Club Facilities.

Will the members of the Club have an opportunity to have input into the operation of the Club?
Yes, members will be encouraged to take part in the ongoing evaluation of the golf course and clubhouse operations. The Club will establish a Board of Directors whose purpose includes fostering good relations between the members and management of the Club. The members serving on the Board of Directors will be selected by the Club.

What am I obligated to pay as a member?
Members are obligated to a one time initiation fee, annual dues, and fees for carts and or caddies.

Will I be responsible for assessments?
No. The ownership is fully responsible for operating and maintenance cost for the Club. Outside play on the shoulder seasons will provide for unexpected cost, not the membership. Unless members vote to assess themselves for a change or addition to the facility there will be no membership assessments.

Can I sell my Club Membership?
Yes, initial Resident Club Members may include the sale of their memberships in the resale price of their lot or home. However, the prevailing annual dues will apply and the purchaser is subject to the existing admissions criteria of the Club.

Club Memberships and Corporate Memberships may be resigned to the Club and will be included in the membership pool to be sold. If the Club is not at full membership levels, every third membership sold will be a resigned membership. Memberships will be sold at the then current initiation fee less a twenty (20%) percent Club transfer fee.

May I invite guests to the club?
Yes, one of the distinct privileges of being a member of True North is the opportunity to bring guests to the facility. Guest fees will be the responsibility of the host member.

Will the Club offer an inactive dues category?
Yes, the Club will provide a leave of absence status to members based on Board approval. A member on leave of absence will be subject to current inactive dues fee.

If I resign my membership in the Club, will I be obligated to continue to pay dues?
Resigned members shall pay inactive dues after resignation and until transfer to new members. There shall be no pro rated return of annual dues after resignation.

How do I become a member?
Submit a completed Membership Agreement to the True North Membership Director with your payment for applicable initiation fees. Upon acceptance you will be provided with a member number and complete membership package.
